Most Important/ Needs work in Schools
ReplyDeleteSelf learning of tech and where to go for help: When it comes to educating students the most important lessons we can teach them is not how to use the tech of today but how to figure out how to use the tech of tomorrow. We are inundated with technology and things are changing so fast that if we can’t create self-guided learning strategies our students are technologically doomed. Lesson #1: Keep pushing buttons- It is doubtful you will break it so experiment with everything.
Hardware basics and troubleshooting: Although most of the hardware we use will be outdated in three years learning the hardware is something that we are quickly taking for granted. Students need to have an idea what they are using so that they can be self-guided in keeping their technology up to date and working. It is a poor craftsman that doesn’t know his tools and the same can be said for technology.
